Wi-Fi cuts out during the game — what to do?

In short
Good news: everything is saved server-side. A cut-out never wipes your game. Here's how to react in 30 seconds.

1 Whatever you do, don't panic

Your data is saved: BingoShow records every draw server-side, continuously. A Wi-Fi cut of a few seconds loses nothing.

2 What to actually do

1
The room screen reconnects on its own
As soon as the Wi-Fi is back, the display picks up automatically.
2
If you cast via Chromecast
The cast can drop. Hit the "Cast" button in the console again.
3
If nothing comes back in 30 s
Reload the page (F5 or Cmd+R). All drawn numbers are preserved.
4
Last resort
Switch to a 4G hotspot from your phone. Everything keeps going.

3 Avoid it next time

💡
The HDMI cable, your best friend
For an important session, keep an HDMI cable as a safety net. In 30 seconds you switch to wired mode, no Wi-Fi.
  • Test the venue's Wi-Fi 24 h before by streaming an HD video.
  • Get the Wi-Fi password in advance (not the guest network, the main one).
  • Plan for an unlimited 4G hotspot on your plan.
  • Watch out for rainy days that sometimes flake out ADSL in small towns.
Did you know?
BingoShow keeps your session state for 24 h after the last event. Even if you close everything by accident, you can resume the next day.
