Fire TV and Roku: the AirReceiver solution

In short
Fire TV and Roku don't support Cast or AirPlay natively. Solution: the AirReceiver app at €5 — install in 3 minutes.

1 Why this step

Fire TV (Amazon) and Roku boxes are great streaming players, but they ship with neither Chromecast nor AirPlay. To project your BingoShow console onto them, you need to add that capability.

2 Install AirReceiver

1
Open the Fire TV Appstore
Main menu → Apps → magnifier → type "AirReceiver".
2
Buy and install
€4.99 single payment (no subscription).
3
Enable the protocols
Launch the app → Settings → tick Google Cast and AirPlay.
4
Cast from BingoShow
The Fire TV now appears in the Cast / AirPlay list.
💡
Bonus
AirReceiver works for YouTube, Netflix, etc. too. So even outside BingoShow, your purchase pays off.

3 Possible alternatives

  • Direct HDMI cable to the TV (bypasses Fire TV / Roku).
  • Buy a Chromecast dongle (€15-30) on another HDMI port.
  • Use the TV's built-in browser if it's a Smart TV.
