The verification QR code won't scan

In short
No panic: 9 times out of 10 it's a printing issue that's easy to fix. And there's always a fallback: manual entry.

1 5-point checklist

1
Intact margin around the QR
If the white margin is cropped, the QR becomes unreadable. Check at least 1cm around.
2
Enough ink
A "grey" QR won't read. If ink is low, run a print-head cleaning cycle.
3
Brightness on your scanning screen
Turn up the brightness on the scanning phone. And angle the card towards a light source.
4
No fold or stain
A card folded right across the QR no longer scans. Reprint or use manual entry.
5
"Fit to page" disabled
When printing, pick "Actual size" or "100%". Otherwise the QR is distorted.

2 The fallback that always works

Manual entry
5-digit number at the top of the card
Type it into the "Verify a card" field of the console — instant result, even offline.
💡
The right reflex
Get used to manual entry from the very first event. It's faster than scanning and works 100% of the time.
