Sponsored prize vs. purchased prize

In short
A "sponsored" prize is linked to a sponsor (shown as "contributed by X" on screen). A "purchased" prize, bought by the association, stays neutral.

1 The concrete difference

🎁 Sponsored prize
  • Linked to a sponsor
  • Shown as "contributed by X"
  • Sponsor logo next to the prize
  • Cost for the association: €0
🛒 Purchased prize
  • No linked sponsor
  • Neutral display (just the prize)
  • Counts toward the event's margin
  • Cost visible in the recap

2 Why distinguish them

  • **Motivate sponsors**: the on-screen "contributed by X" mention motivates them to come back next year.
  • **Calculate margin**: the PDF recap shows cost of purchased prizes vs. revenue from cards sold. You know exactly how much your event netted.
  • **Association transparency**: show the board where the prizes came from.
💡
Our recommendation
Mix the two: 70% sponsor-contributed prizes (which you go out and find), 30% bought by the association to get a varied selection.
