The co-host forgot their PIN
In short
Happens to everyone — an SMS accidentally deleted, a PIN scribbled on a lost piece of paper. Regenerate a new one in 5 seconds from the editor.
No stress: the PIN isn't actually lost. You can find it any time, or generate a fresh one if needed.
1 Regenerate the PIN
1
Open the session editor
Click your session in the dashboard.
2
Open Settings → Share links
The "Settings" tab of the editor, "Share links" section.
3
Find the link in question
List of active co-host links, with their PINs shown next to them.
4
Click the regenerate icon
Small circular-arrow icon (🔄), right next to the PIN.
5
Confirm
A new 4-digit PIN is generated. The old one stops working immediately.
The new PIN shows up right away
4 digits
Copy it and send it to your co-host — by SMS if possible, so they have it in plain text on their phone.
The old PIN no longer works: the moment you regenerate, the previous PIN becomes invalid. If your co-host is currently connected, they'll stay connected but will need to re-enter the new PIN on next sign-in.
2 Where to find the current PIN
The PIN stays permanently visible in Settings → Share links, next to the link. You don't have to regenerate just to find it — it's always there.
Memory trick
Stick the PIN on a post-it on your console screen during the event. If someone asks, you have it in 2 seconds.
3 Avoid this next time
- Send the PIN by SMS — easier to find than an email.
- Ask the co-host to pin it in their conversation.
- Send the PIN at the last minute (event day, not a week before).
Did you know?
The PIN is intentionally short (4 digits) so it's easy to remember and type on a phone — without being brute-forceable (10,000 combinations, locked after 5 failed attempts).
