Broadcast to Apple TV via AirPlay
In short
AirPlay lets you project your Mac, iPhone or iPad screen onto an Apple TV — no cable, no complex setup.
1 Prerequisites
- An Apple TV (4th generation or newer).
- Mac, iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple TV.
- AirPlay enabled in Apple TV settings (on by default).
Watch out: Avoid guest Wi-Fi networks, which often isolate devices from each other. You won't see the Apple TV in the list.
2 From a Mac
1
Open Control Centre
Icon in the top-right of the menu bar.
2
Click "Screen Mirroring"
The list of detected Apple TVs appears.
3
Select your Apple TV
Enter the 4-digit code shown on the TV if asked.
4
Open the BingoShow room screen
And switch to full-screen for a crisp projection.
3 From iPhone / iPad
iOS Control Centre (swipe from the top-right corner) → "Screen Mirroring" → pick your Apple TV. Then open Safari on the room-screen page.
iPad tip
In landscape orientation with an iPad Pro, you get smoother rendering than with an iPhone, especially on animated themes (Neon, Confetti).
4 Quick troubleshooting
- Apple TV invisible → different Wi-Fi or guest network.
- Stuttering image → too far from the Wi-Fi router.
- Audio/video lag → disable voice synthesis, use a mic instead.
- Blue screen → restart the Apple TV by unplugging it for 10 seconds.
Did you know?
Native Apple TV support (no screen mirroring) is planned for late 2026. A BingoShow tvOS app will let you connect a console from your iPhone and project directly.
