Test mode, going live and event history
In short
Every new bingo starts in test mode: rehearse as much as you want, nothing is recorded. On the day, one button flips everything live — and a full history begins.
Every new bingo starts in test mode. It’s on purpose: you can rehearse as much as you like — draw numbers, broadcast messages, take breaks — without anything counting. On the day, a single button flips the event to real.
1 Why a test mode
Hosting a loto takes practice. Test mode lets you get your hands on the console, check the room screen and rehearse your run-of-show with peace of mind.
Did you know?
In test mode, players who open the screen see a “Test mode — sample data” banner, and win animations are disabled. No confusion with a real game.
2 Rehearse without recording anything
While in test, do everything you’d do on the day:
- Draw numbers, manually or automatically.
- Broadcast a message to the room screen.
- Pause, resume, undo.
- Verify a winning card.
Visual cue: a red “TEST MODE” badge shows on your console until the event has gone live.
3 Going live, on the day
Permanent action: going live is irreversible. Everything drawn, broadcast or timed in test is erased, and you can’t return to test mode. Do it only on the day, right before you start.
1
Open the live console
The “Live” tab of your session.
2
Click “Go live”
The test banner offers the button at the top of the page.
3
Confirm by typing “LIVE”
A dialog recaps what will be erased. Retype LIVE to confirm — deliberately, to avoid a misclick.
At that moment the games reset to blank, the event timer starts, and every action is now recorded in the history.
4 The event history
From the moment you go live, BingoShow keeps a complete, timestamped log:
- The time of every number drawn.
- Messages broadcast to the room screen.
- Pauses and resumes, game by game.
- Durations: total time, play time and break time.
Keep it
Open the “History” panel from the console, then export it (CSV or PDF). Perfect for your accounts, your AGM report, or simply to relive the evening.
5 Ending the event
When it’s all over, click “End the event”. Every game switches to “completed”, the history is frozen, and no number can be drawn anymore.
A bingo created before test mode existed works as before, with no test step: nothing changes for your older sessions.
Unsure before the big day?
Run a full rehearsal in test mode — it’s free and has no consequences.
